wordpress 1.5.x users are doomed
Thinking wordpress 1.5.x is so stable that it doesn’t need any security fix, and only 2.0.x branch needs fixing? You’re wrong (and I’m wrong). There are multiple security problems with 1.5.2, here are some examples:
However, according to this Gentoo bug report, bug fixes against 2.x branch most likely won’t be backported to 1.5.x, which is abandoned. The subversion repository of wordpress has not changed as well.
I’d like to migrate to Wordpress 2.0, however it likely requires lots of time to make old plugins work again. Thus wordpress 1.5 users are out there in the cold…
