Slashdot is posting about SHA-1 RIGHT NOW?
2007-01-21Sometimes it’s fun to track down how a piece of news is spreading. Slashdot ‘news’ aren’t news. It’s picking up epochtimes, which in turn is an incomplete translation based on its chinese counterpart. That’s nothing more than a rehash of old news — Brune Schneier has already posted the paper more than 1.5 years ago. Probably the lack of availability of original paper contributes to such misinformation. (Bruce said that Wang probably mistakenly thought the paper must not be published in any way).
