WordPress Hong Kong translation
Hong Kong Chinese (code:zh_HK) translation folder under wordpress-i18n subversion repository is opened on 2007-03-19, and that means zh_HK translation is under progress.
Current Progress
As of start of May 2007, almost 95% of translation is done, for 2.0.x branch, 2.1.x branch, 2.2.x and trunk.
Installation
- Open the above repository link in your browser.
- Depending on whether you are using 2.1.x or 2.2.x branch of WordPress, go to either
branches/2.1/messages/orbranches/2.2/messages/subdirectory, and downloadzh_HK.mofile. - Upload
zh_HK.moto wp-includes/languages/ subdirectory under your WordPress installation. (Create this directory yourself if it is not already present) - Find out this line in
wp-config.php:
define (’WPLANG’, ”);
And change it to:
define (’WPLANG’, ‘zh_HK‘);
- Underscore, not a dash. ‘HK’ is in capital letter.
- If you can’t modify the file directly, then download it, change that line, save and reupload.
- That’s all!

I am updating it regularly whenever time is allowed, so everybody please visit the above URL regularly to see if there is any new version, as it may contain bug fixes against older versions.
